First missile-firing warship for PH Navy due to arrive | ABS-CBN News

First missile-firing warship for PH Navy due to arrive | ABS-CBN News

was this a reporting gaff on one of the most reputable news network in the Philippines?... or was this a subtle warning to Beijing that the rules of the game in the West Philippine Sea are about to change... I guess we will know in the coming months...

Hamilton-class cutters were designed to be Harpoon-capable... the actual deployment of Harpoon ASMs on these ships, however, have never been confirmed nor denied by the US Government... probably because, it will not look politically-correct to equip civilian USCG vessels with a weapon system that can technically sink even an aircraft carrier...

Su-27: the air superiority fighter that the PAF will most likely encounter in the WPS

Will the Light MRF version of this aircraft be enough to address Beijing's counterstrike threat in the WPS?

Support the July 24, 2013 global peaceful rallies against Beijing's aggression in the West Philippine Sea...

And the West Philippine Sea Coalition is born...

Groups plan worldwide protest vs Chinese territorial incursions

more than a year after the Panatag Shoal stand-off... there appears to be no light yet at the end of the tunnel... in fact, Beijing is starting to make predatory moves targeting Ayungin Shoal...

the hearings on the arbitration case we filed with the UN are about to begin... our first ASM-equipped warship is about to arrive... the comings and goings of US warships in our Country have increased significantly... our National Government appears to be making all the right moves... what is only lacking is a highly-visible outpouring of popular support from the entire Filipino Global Diaspora... hopefully, the formation of the West Philippine Sea Coalition will be the catalyst to make this happen...

let us show the world what we can do on July 24, 2013... if you cannot physically make it to the protest locations... make your voice be heard through social media... if you are a Filipino who has immigrated to foreign lands... write to your government, and implore them to support the Philippine arbitration case vs. China in the UN...

"Limited Force" and the gathering war clouds between the Philippines and Malaysia...

‘Limited force’ could be used to rescue Filipinos in Sabah, says Santiago

i am going to buck conventional wisdom and not dismiss this as just another wacky thought from the good Senator... i think she is deliberately probing the national psyche on the palatability of a military intervention at Sabah... i suspect there are serious powerful people behind this idea...

as to the ignoramuses who think that we do not have the capability to grab by force Sabah from Kuala Lumpur... think again!... there are 100 million of us and only 30 million of them... and Sabah is only spitting distance from Palawan and Tawi-Tawi... in a full-scale intervention scenario, we can easily infiltrate 10,000 combatants to Sabah within a week... we have seen what 235 combatants can do... so we have quite a good idea what 10,000 combatants can do too... once the numbers are there... the hidden loyalties of the 800,000 Filipino diaspora in Sabah will come out into the open... and that number would just be too high to handle for Kuala Lumpur's armed forces...

but is this what we really want?... Just like the hordes of Beijing... the hordes of Kuala Lumpur are technically our cousins too...

Which side is Beijing supporting in the Sulu-Malaysia War?

to date, Beijing has not made any official statement on the on-going war between the Sultanate of Sulu and the Republic of Malaysia...

on which side are they?... it is not quite clear...

the conventional wisdom is that it is in the interest of Beijing to have this war so that Malaya Irredenta will not be able to come up with a united stand against Beijing's territorial ambitions in the West Philippine Sea... the classic Divide et Empira strategy...

i would say true... and maybe not true...

the Sulu-Malaysia War might also catalyze the military modernization of Manila and Kuala Lumpur... specially Manila... such that by the time Beijing decides to make its anticipated big military move in the WPS, all the GRP and the GRM have to do is to point the barrels of their modernized guns in a different direction... northward...
